Description
Satya Datta: Among these is Satyadatta Vrata Puja. Swamiji’s purpose behind this pooja must be that common people like to observe fasts. During this period Sri Satyanarayan Vrat was prevalent among devotees. Moreover, these devotees worshiped a particular deity. These devotees, who live in dualism, regard their worship as superior to God, even though all the deities are forms of the same God. That is why various fasts such as ‘Satya Vinayak Vrat’ for Ganesha devotees and ‘Somvarvrat’ for Shiva devotees came into vogue. Accordingly, due to the order of Datta Prabhu to prepare a similar vow for Sri Datta devotees, P. W. Maharaj may have designed this fast.
The worship part of this Vrat is like any other Vrat. The Vedic mantras in this are the same as in other vows, but the Puranokta mantras are composed by Sri Swami Maharaj himself. Therefore, one should call the priest who is performing the puja and perform the sacred puja with Vedokta and Puranokta mantras. For information, Puja materials should be arranged as follows;
