Like Satyanarayana, Satyavinayaka, this vow of Goddess is famous among Shakta Panthiyas (goddess devotees) which gives quick fruits. This is the worship of Goddess Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati who is the mother from whom all creation was created. The glory of this fast is described in the Puranas of Sakshat Devi Bhagwat and Bhavishittar Purana. It is a well-known history that Lord Shankar himself was freed from trouble and his son Kartikswamy was victorious in the war with the Asuras due to the effect of this vow.
